Miami Nightlife - Miami Sports Bars

If you want to keep up with all the big games when you're not at the beach, here are a few picks.

The Clevelander Bar
1020 Ocean Drive
(305) 531-3485, Miami Beach

Just across the street from the ocean, this outdoor bar is a great place to watch sports on the 10 TVs or just peek at the people parading around.  Dress is casual - from bikinis to sarongs or shorts. There's a weekday happy hour from 5-7 pm and live music every night. You can shoot pool inside or out on the four pool tables. The kitchen is open until 3 am. You can pick your own crustacean from the live lobster tank or stick with a burger. Metered parking and valet parking are available.

Hours: 11 am - 5 am daily.

Jam's Sports Bar
1331 Washington Ave., Miami Beach
(305) 532-6700

At this unpretentious place on popular Washington Ave. you can play pool, foosball, and air hockey while enjoying a libation or two. If you need to nibble there are appetizers and sandwiches on the menu. Happy hour is 4-8 pm every day.

Hours: Daily 1 pm-5 am

Thirst & Ten Sports Bar
19201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
(305) 932-2233

Set inside the Ramada Plaza Marco Polo Beach Resort, Thirst & Ten has satellite coverage of major sporting events. There are two big screen TVs and several other sets scattered around the lounge. It's pretty new; it opened in 1997. You can load up on a pretty good buffet here if you're hungry.

Hours: Mon-Fri. 4 pm - 1 am; Sat.-Sun. 12 pm - 1 am

Jimmy Johnson's Three Rings Bar
4525 Collins Ave. (between 45th and 46th Sts.), Miami Beach
(800) 327-8337 or (305) 531-0000

Part of oceanfront Eden Roc Resort & Spa, former Dolphins head coach Jimmy Johnson's beachside sports bar offers a casual blend of football and cuisine with a Key West flavor. Johnson's football memorabilia and 35 TVs streaming sporting events through satellite fill the inside of the restaurant. Outside guests can dine on Black Angus steaks or local seafood on a glass-enclosed air-conditioned deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Healthful spa-style food items are available here. It's open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

Hours: Sun.-Thurs. 11:30 am-12 am; Fri.-Sat. 11:30 am - 1 am
