mega-mall and massive complex trend that has swept
through the Miami area, Miracle Mile continues to
thrive as the preferred shopping district in Coral
Gables. Since the 1950s, Miracle Mile has been known
to offer its visitors an upscale shopping
experience. After a recent beautification project,
the boulevard once again has managed to recapture its original
glamour appeal. Stroll down the manicured
walkways and browse through the many boutiques as
you admire the lush landscaping along the median.
For those who
prefer unique specialty shops to crowded department
stores, this charming strip offers a wide selection
of bridal boutiques, luxurious lingerie stores,
jewelers and more. In fact, Miracle Mile 
attracts
customers from around the world as a prime
destination when planning a wedding. Aside from the
bride and groom agenda, the street is also lined
with many art galleries, furniture and antique
stores for those with interior decoration in mind.
Fashion boutiques for men, women and children are
plentiful, as are bookstores.
Some of the
best restaurants in all of Miami are situated either
along the Mile or in the Downtown Coral Gables
vicinity. Café Abbracci and Grillfish both serve an
exquisite cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. For
casual dining, stop in one of the many cafés,
coffee shops and gourmet delicatessens.
Directions
to Miracle Mile
Heading in the
northeast direction on U.S. 1, turn left onto SW 37th
Avenue, also known as Douglas Road. Continue for
just over a mile and make another left onto SW 24th
Street, also known as Coral Way. Miracle Mile is
located in Downtown Coral Gables right on Coral Way
between Le Jeune and Douglas Road. Coral Way runs in
the east-west direction and can also be accessed
from the 826 Highway. Meter parking is available
along the Miracle Mile strip and along the
surrounding streets.
